Fredericksburg Restaurant Among 100 Most Romantic, Study Says

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and many couples in Fredericksburg are looking for the perfect place to celebrate the day. One restaurant in Fredericksburg could be perfect for the job, as it was named one of the 100 most romantic restaurants in the country.

OpenTable, an online service that allows customers to schedule reservations online, analyzed millions of diner reviews to compile their list. Fredericksburg's Fahrenheit 132 was included as one of the most romantic eateries in the country.

The OpenTable description for the restaurant describes it as "cutting edge steakhouse focused on creating the best food for the most reasonable price." The restaurant is located on William Street in historic downtown.

"Either quick dinners or celebrations, we are an excellent fit for all," the OpenTable description says. "With only the freshest ingredients used and always sourced first in Virginia, and Certified Angus Beef born in VA, this steakhouse is one of a kind!"

The restaurant averages a 4.8 out of 5 rating on OpenTable across more than 2,800 reviews. Entrees typically range between $30 and $50.

Fahrenheit 132 is among four Virginia restaurants on the list. Other locations in the state included L'Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls and Bookbinder's Seafood and Steakhouse in Richmond.

Nearly two years after the COVID-19 pandemic began, many couples are looking forward to a much-needed night out.

"Our data suggests that Valentine's Day dining is rebounding this year, with reservations up 30% nationwide compared to last year," OpenTable's chief growth officer Susan Lee said in a news release. "We're excited to see this momentum leading up to what has traditionally been one of the biggest dining days of the year for restaurants."
