Free adult education program for Spanish-speakers coming to Lafayette - Plaza Comunitaria

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Consulate of México in Indianapolis has partnered with local organizations Northend Community Center and the Grupo Empresarial Hispano de Lafayette, to create Greater Lafyette’s newest Plaza Comunitaria, a program aimed at providing Spanish-speaking adults free educational opportunities.

The program aims at providing any Spanish-speaking adult with the opportunity to complete their elementary and secondary education for free via computer stations at Northend Community Center.

“It’s a really important opportunity for folks in our community that haven’t completed their education to be able to continue moving forward and to be able to progress and grow within our community,” Angel Valentín, Wabash Township trustee said.
