Free coffee for a year is part of Dunkin’ customer appreciation event in Lexington

An area Dunkin’ donuts shop will hold a customer appreciation event this weekend, and the first 50 customers will get free coffee for a year.

The event will take place on Friday and Saturday morning at the Dunkin’ at 5225 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, according to a news release. That’s half a mile from Lexington Pavilion, where Target and Best Buy are located.

The first 50 customers in line at 5 a.m. Friday will receive the free coffee for a year giveaway, according to the release.

On both days, customers who go to the doughnut shop from 8-10 a.m. can enjoy a free sample of the plant-based “Beyond Sausage Sandwich” — while supplies last, it said in the release.

There will also be appearances by mascots and other giveaways on both days, according to the release.

The Dunkin on Sunset is one of the fast food chain’s “next generation stores,” that features a welcoming design and innovative technologies, according to the release.

Founded in 1950, Dunkin’ specializes in hot and iced coffee in a variety of flavors, in addition to baked goods such as doughnuts, bagels and muffins. The company has more than 12,900 restaurants in 42 countries worldwide.
