Free disposal day for large items to be held Friday, Saturday in Anniston

Feb. 16—The first large-item disposal day of the year for Anniston residents is Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. — 5 p.m both days.

Roll-off dumpsters will be located at the following locations for residents to dispose of their refuse free of charge:

— Ward 1 — 349 Cave Road

The following items will not be accepted:

— Hazardous waste of any kind (batteries, corrosives)

— Paint

— Electronics

— Tires

— Freon appliances (refrigerators, freezers)
