Free event will provide dental services and health screenings
Mar. 6—Medical Teams International is hosting a free event in Astoria for dental services and health screenings.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 19, the group will be parking their mobile unit at the Barbey Maritime Center on Marine Drive.
"MTI has been serving the southern part of the county for many years," Jiancheng Huang, Clatsop County's public health director, said. "COVID built a community collaboration and MTI brought the van to the northern part of the county. It started to serve as a hub to the population that needed it the most in communities around county. Our department, Clatsop Community Action, and others are working together to bring more information and services to the site of the dental care services."
