Free Flu Shot Event At Pinellas County Health Dept. In St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County is offering free flu shots at its annual Flu Boo event Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the St. Petersburg office.

The department said although many health insurance providers cover the cost of the flu vaccine, those who are uninsured may find flu shots difficult to afford.

Flu and coronavirus symptoms can be similar, but only the flu has a vaccine available, the Pinellas County Health Department said.

Vaccines are provided first come, first served, while supplies last, said health officials.

Vaccinations are provided through a drive-thru at Pinellas County Health Department, 205 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North.

Adults and children three-years-old and older can get free flu vaccines from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
