Free food distribution to those in need this Saturday

In conjunction with Hunger Action Month, Feeding Northeast Florida will be at five locations on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Duval County

The first food distribution will take place with Jim Dotson Foundation at 3754 University Club Blvd. at 7:30 a.m.

The second will be in collaboration with Light in the World. That distribution is set to begin at 8 a.m. at 8625 New Kings Rd.

Feeding Northeast Florida will team up with Safe Future Foundation, Inc., at 515 W. 6th St. beginning at 9 a.m.

The fourth and final Duval free food distribution will be with Epic Cure Duval at 3760 University Blvd. S. starting at 9 a.m.

Nassau County

The one event being held in Nassau County on Saturday will be a drive-through distribution, but walk-ups are welcome. The location is at the MLK Center 1200 Elm St. in Fernandina Beach. Distribution will start at 8 a.m.

Just remember that Feeding Northeast Florida food trucks will arrive up to an hour before the listed distribution time. If they are able to set up early, they will begin the distribution early to accommodate those seeking assistance.

Product varies and is on a first-come-first-served basis while supplies last.
