Get free food or donate: Here’s a list of food pantries in Triangle towns

Using FoodPantries.org and FreeFood.org, The News & Observer compiled a list of food pantries across the Triangle that give out food to those who need it.

• To receive food: Check websites and/or call ahead for special instructions and distribution times. This is particularly important at smaller food pantries, which may have more limited inventory.

• To donate: Most listed food pantries have “Donate” buttons on their websites for financial donations. Reach out directly to the food pantries to see how to donate food, time or financial help that is not online.

• To add a food pantry to our list: Email ask@newsobserver.com, and provide the food pantry’s name and website.
