Free Health Clinic For Peabody Residents
PEABODY, MA — Peabody-area community and municipal organizations are joining with the North Shore Medical Center to offer a community health clinic for residents dealing with effects of the coronavirus health crisis.
The Haven for Hunger/Citizens Inn, Rotary Club of Peabody and the Peabody Police Department will participate in the fair to be held at the North Shore Community Action Programs on North Foster Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be food distribution to those in need and nutritionists available to discus healthy eating habits and provide nutrition education.
Other health services scheduled to include blood pressure and diabetes screenings as well as a limited amount of coronavirus testing for those who would like to be tested.
"We are committed to addressing the various health needs in our community and partnering with local organizations to provide the care and services needed most," the North Shore Medical Center said. "We are all in this together."
Those attending the clinic do not need health insurance and immigration status will not be asked.
Those who have any coronavirus symptoms are urged not to attend the clinic, but instead seek medical health immediately.
