Free at-home COVID tests can now be ordered via the US Postal Service. Here's how

Mississippians looking to order free at-home coronavirus tests from the federal government can do so online now.

A day before expected, the federal government began accepting orders Tuesday at covidtests.gov. Each residential address is allow four at-home tests.

The tests are expected to ship in late January, according to the USPS ordering website.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday the USPS site is in a beta phase, which will allow for troubleshooting.

“We can’t guarantee there won’t be a bug or two,” she said, “but the best tech teams across the administration and the Postal Service are working hard to make this a success.”
