Free Krispy Kreme Doughnuts For Health Care Workers In San Diego

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Krispy Kreme is stepping up amid the ongoing new coronavirus crisis with a sweet gesture for health care workers on the frontlines of the battle.

On Mondays, the national doughnut chain will be giving out a free dozen of its Original Glazed doughnuts to health care workers, including at locations in San Diego County.

"Just go to a Krispy Kreme drive-thru, tell us what you need and show us your employer badge. That's it," the company said in a news release. "Pick up some free dozens on the way to work for you and your colleagues, or maybe a free dozen on your way home to a family after a long shift."

The beginning of the promotion from Krispy Kreme aligned with National Doctors' Day on Monday.

Krispy Kreme also noted that some of its shops may have adjusted hours of operations, but the majority are still operating and offering pick-up and to-go orders.
