Free money to finish college or training program. How to get the funds in Bucks County

Did you start college or an after-high school training program and not complete it? The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry now has allocated $1.3 million to Bucks County for free tuition assistance to help.

The money is available for any Pennsylvania resident who began a post-secondary educational or training program, maintained a 2.0 grade point average but didn't finish the coursework and exited the program after June 1, 2021.

To be eligible, the participants must complete their study program by June 30, 2024, according to the Bucks County Department of Workforce and Economic Development.

The money can be used for free tuition assistance at a Pennsylvania educational institution, mentorship tutorial services and technology resources, books and educational supplies. Participants are entitled to guidance from a career services specialist as well as resources to assist with job placement.

The county is partnering with Bucks County Community College, Delaware Valley University, Holy Family University and Pennco Technical School but the funds also can be used at other post-secondary institutions.
