Free STEM Summer Camps coming in July and August in Oneida County. Here's how to enroll

The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Griffiss Institute and Innovare Advancement Center are offering free STEM Summer Camps to students in grades 5-12.

The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate in Rome, in partnership with the Griffiss Institute and Innovare Advancement Center, will offer STEM Summer Camps to students in grades 5-12 in July and August.

Current STEM funding has made it possible to provide these summer camps free of charge in 2022.

The STEM Summer Camps promise to engage children in new and exciting experiences. Kids can imagine, collaborate, explore and create, all while learning STEM skills that will help them in school and in life.

Rural health: License plate proposal aimed at leveling disparities

In-person STEM Summer Camps include: 

  • Arduino Camp from Monday, July 11 to Thursday, July 14 for grades 8-12.

  • LEGO Robotics Camp from Monday, July 18 to Friday, July 22 for grades 5-8.

  • Drone Camp from Monday, Aug. 1 to Friday, Aug. 5 for grades 9-12.

  • Quantum Innovation Camp from Monday, Aug. 15 to Thursday, Aug. 18 for grades 9-12.

Virtual camps include:

  • Cyber Camp 1.0 from Monday, July 25 to Friday, July 29 for grades 9-12.

  • Cyber Camp 2.0 from Monday, Aug. 1 to Friday, Aug. 5 for grades 9-12.
