(KRON) — A Fremont man with seven prior misdemeanor convictions for peeping was arrested last week after surveillance footage showed him looking into a woman’s bedroom window as she was undressed, the Fremont Police Department said.

The surveillance video showed the suspect looking into the bedroom window at the residence in the area of Ardo Street on Jan. 29, police said. The woman inside the home called out after she noticed the suspect outside, and the suspect fled the area. Fremont police officers were able to identify the person seen on video as Daniel Todd Martin, 56, of Fremont, FPD said.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Martin for peeking into an inhabited dwelling while prowling on private property, police said. On Feb. 7, the Fremont Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit arrested Martin on the outstanding warrant.

Martin admitted, police said, that he looked into the victim’s window and was the person captured on surveillance footage. Fremont PD said Martin has seven previous misdemeanor convictions for the same peeping charge of this arrest, along with two felony convictions for first-degree burglary and four misdemeanor convictions for trespassing.
