French beauty brand Sisley-Paris opens Palm Beach boutique at Via Flagler by The Breakers

An international beauty brand known for its innovative cosmetics products debuted its fourth U.S. boutique last month in Palm Beach.

Sisley-Paris, a French company that uses phytotherapy and aromatherapy to manufacture its beauty line, opened April 1 in a new 634-square-foot space at Via Flagler by The Breakers.

The store is the company's second in Florida, with another location in Miami. Sisley-Paris also operates a store in Las Vegas — which was the first to open in 2014 — and one in New York City.

Jim Maki, president of Sisley United States, said the Palm Beach location at Via Flagler by The Breakers was a perfect fit for the brand, which was founded by Hubert d’Ornano in 1976.

A $28.3 million open-air shopping plaza near The Breakers, Via Flagler by The Breakers features upscale boutiques, eateries and galleries.

Its tenants include Contessa Gallery, Frisbie Group, Henry’s Palm Beach, Lotus Hair Studio, Main Street by The Breakers and SHAN.

Via Flagler by The Breakers is at 221-231 Royal Poinciana Way.

"We have an existing devoted clientele in Palm Beach, and fell in love with this fabulous al fresco location," Maki said. "We are thrilled to be able to offer a high-end shopping and lifestyle destination for our customers, complete with a spa room to allow for them to experience our unparalleled facials."

Sisley-Paris, at 221 Royal Poinciana Way, sells fragrances, cosmetics, skincare and haircare products, and also features a spa cabin where customers can get radiance-enhancing and anti-aging facial treatments.

The store's design features a clean, elegant and minimal aesthetic, and contains elements that are typical to homes in the Palm Beach area, such as the paneled ceiling, Maki said.

The floors are natural white oak, while the walls of the retail space and spa cabin are covered with the “Cells” wallpaper that was created in 1874 by Atelier d’Offard in Tours, France.

Three pieces of original concept art by Polish artist Bronislaw Krzysztof adorn the walls, and the spa room contains a suspended, lit ceiling depicting biloba leaves, which are one of Sisley’s emblematic ingredients found in its products.

"Each of the Sisley-Paris boutiques is designed with unique elements and pieces of artwork that highlight their respective locations," Maki said.

Business has been brisk since the store opened, Maki said.

"We have had an extremely positive response since we opened a few weeks ago," he said. "The spa cabin has been booked back to back with appointments, and our makeup business is off to a strong start."

Sisley-Paris is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
