French and German Leaders Unite to Mark WWI Armistice Anniversary

French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the Clairiere de l’Armistice in Compiegne, France, on November 10, to unveil a plaque marking the 100th anniversary of the signing of the agreement that ended WWI.

The Clairiere de l’Armistice is a memorial where the agreement was originally signed.
