UPDATE: Frenzel, Kersting-Lark, Fazio survive Moscow School Board challenges

Nov. 8—UPDATE: Incumbents Jim Frenzel, Dulce Kersting-Lark and Dawna Fazio will return to the Moscow School Board.

Frenzel and Fazio are incumbents. Kersting-Lark was appointed to the board in 2022 to fill a vacancy.

Complete but unofficial results for the three open school board zones were last updated on the Idaho Secretary of State website at 2:20 a.m.

According to those results:

Jim Frenzel beat Cody Barr for Zone 1 with 1,045 votes to Barr's 429.

Dulce Kersting-Lark beat Gay Lynn Clyde in Zone 3 with 595 votes to Clyde's 304.

Dawn Fazio is leading Jim Gray in Zone 4 with 351 votes to Gray's 136.

In Kendrick, Ron Ireland and Ryan Lawrence won school board races.

In Bovill, Lloyd Ritter was elected as commissioner of the fire district.

ORIGINAL STORY

All three incumbents were leading in the Moscow School Board election Tuesday night, according to unofficial early results.

Six candidates ran for three seats on the school board. Not all of the precinct results were released by press time, but early votes were reported on the Idaho Secretary of State website.

Jim Frenzel is leading Cody Barr for Zone 1 with 349 votes to Barr's 50.

Dulce Kersting-Lark is leading Gay Lynn Clyde in Zone 3 with 211 votes to Clyde's 55.

Dawn Fazio is leading Jim Gray in Zone 4 with 100 votes to Gray's 14.

Tuesday's votes in Latah County were counted by hand and will be counted electronically today. Results will be posted on the Latah County and Secretary of State websites.
