PORT ST. LUCIE — The Fresh Market opened its third location on the Treasure Coast, signaling its start with a "bread-breaking" ceremony Wednesday morning in Tradition.

This is the first location in St. Lucie County, with one each in Indian River and Martin counties. The 23,424-square-foot store is Fresh Market's 47th in Florida.

"We are thrilled to bring The Fresh Market experience to the vibrant community of Port St. Lucie," said Jason Potter, CEO of The Fresh Market in a news release. "Our team has worked diligently to create a welcoming environment where guests can find the freshest ingredients, exceptional service and unique offerings."

The Fresh Market is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily at 10272 SW Meeting St.

What is The Fresh Market?

The Fresh Market was founded March 5, 1982, with its first location in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The supermarket chain offers convenient, restaurant-quality meals, hand-picked produce, premium baked goods, fresh-cut flowers and custom-cut meats, according to The Fresh Market.

It also offers a full-service coffee bar and is bringing its fan-favorite coffee-by-the cup program. The program allows shoppers to choose from six of The Fresh Market’s coffees as a free sample while they shop or purchasing by the cup.
