When will Friday Ellis qualify for Monroe mayor’s race?
Candidates are continuing to qualify for mayoral, council, aldermen and chief of police races in Caldwell and Ouachita parishes.
Incumbent Mayor Friday Ellis is expected to qualify for the Monroe mayor's race Friday at 10:30 a.m., according to his campaign advisor John Jones.
As of Thursday, no candidate has qualified for two Justice of the Peace offices in Franklin Parish and the District 2 seat on the Monroe City Council. Hannah Cummings Springer and Juanita Woods are vying for Columbia mayor and the Monroe City Council District 3 seat, respectively, unopposed.
