Good evening. Donald Trump will not be put in handcuffs, his lawyer has said, after the former president was ordered to face charges in New York over hush money payments.

Donald Trump will face 34 counts of business fraud after a grand jury voted to indict him over an alleged hush money payment to a porn star, his lawyer Joe Tacopina has said.
Mr Trump, who will become the first former president of the United States to be charged with a crime, is accused of falsifying business records after $130,000 was paid to Stormy Daniels.
She said the money was to buy her silence about a sexual encounter with Mr Trump at a hotel in Lake Tahoe in 2006. Mr Trump has repeatedly denied the encounter took place.

Mr Tacopina said that the former president "will not be put in handcuffs” when he is arraigned next week in Manhattan. He added that his legal team was working on the logistics of voluntary surrender to authorities, and that Mr Trump is "not going to hole up in Mar-a-Lago," referring to his primary residence in Florida.

As the heat ramps up on Mr Trump over a hush money payment to a porn star, another alleged former flame could come back to haunt him, writes Verity Bowman.
It was June 2006, and Mr Trump was at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles. There were dozens of scantily-clad playmates at Hugh Hefner’s pool party, but one allegedly caught Mr Trump’s eye: 1998 Playmate of the Year, Karen McDougal.
The ex-model claims she had a 10 month affair with the former president, but ended it over "feelings of guilt" about his marriage.
Investigators are now said to be looking into claims that the former president paid $150,000 to keep Ms McDougal quiet in the lead-up to the 2016 election.
Ron DeSantis vows to block Trump's extradition
Ron DeSantis, the Florida governor, said he will not abide by any extradition request for the former president, who lives in the state. Mr Trump was backed by his chief rival for the Republican nomination, who lambasted the decision by a New York prosecutor to charge Mr Trump.
