Friday Night Hero: Week 9 winner is Keon Lenoir; this week's candidates revealed

Coachella Valley's offense took a big hit last week, losing running back Aaron Ramirez to injury. But offensively they didn't skip a beat, in large part due to receiver Keon Lenoir's performance.

That's why you have named him the Week 9 Friday Night Hero, the second straight week he has earned this honor.

Tommy Ansley

La Quinta: QB/S

What he did: Ansley did a bit of everything for the Blackhawks. He rushed for over 100 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns, while also making multiple defensive plays at safety to go along with kicking a 30-yard field goal.

Dawson Johnson

Palm Desert: WR/DB

What he did: Johnson made plays on both sides of the ball against Shadow Hills. He had two receptions for 78 yards, one of which was a 36-yard touchdown grab, and had an interception as well as a fumble recovery on defense for Palm Desert.

Ethan Zamora

Rancho Mirage: QB

What he did: Despite the loss, Zamora had a strong night. Zamora threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns, to go along with 40 yards on the ground. Two of those touchdown passes were long balls, one went for 40 while the other went for 50.

Jacob Mendoza

Coachella Valley: RB

What he did: Jacob Mendoza had three rushing TDs and one receiving TD against Desert Mirage, filling in just fine with Aaron Ramirez out.

Fabian Garcia

What he did: Fabian Garcia had four touchdown passes for Indio. With this performance, Garcia set the all-time school record for touchdown passes at Indio.

Michael Ramos Jr.

What he did: Ramos threw for five TDs and 267 yards and rushed for one TD against Cathedral City.
