Momentum is a crucial part of football.
With the score tied at 6 in the second quarter, Quakertown grabbed all of it Friday night at Council Rock North. Back-to-back fourth-down stops, combined with an interception by Max Morris, gave Quakertown great field position on three drives that ended in the end zone and helped the Panthers cruise to a 49-19 victory.
That flurry was part of 29 unanswered points as the Panthers improved to .500 on the year (4-4) and 3-1 in SOL Continental play. Running backs John Eatherton and Brett Hileman each had three touchdowns on the night, while quarterback Vince Micucci threw for 99 yards, including a beautiful touchdown pass to Eatherton. CR North (2-6, 1-4 SOL Continental) scored on touchdown receptions by Jack Paessler and Vaughn Vanderslice, as well as a 79-yard run by Gavin Papp.

More:Xavier Shefcyk gives Bristol an edge in ultra competitive rivalry game at Morrisville
A 2-yard touchdown run by junior Kendall Cottrell, followed by a successful point-after attempt, were the difference as Bristol escaped a Morrisville upset scare Friday at Morris Field.
Morrisville jumped up 6-0 earlier in the second quarter on 25-yard TD pass from receiver Jake Neely to Tymeir Hill. But a missed extra point loomed large in the one-point loss. Bristol (now 6-1) salted the game away with a 12-minute drive in the late third and then fourth quarter that didn’t produce points but took a lot of time off the clock. The Warriors then stopped Morrisville’s final possession to finish the game off.
