Upper Moreland's Shawn Herbert was voted the Courier Times/Intell's Football Player of the Week. The Golden Bears’ quarterback scored both of UM's two touchdowns in a 14-10 win against Cheltenham. He received 41 percent of the vote.
In another extremely close poll, Pennsbury's G Mulbah was next with 40 percent.

Thursday
Council Rock South 37, Bensalem 6
Jake Zarnowsky had several key receptions, while Chase Myers and Nick Diaz led the way in the running game as the Golden Hawks earned a decisive win on Senior Night. Zarnowsky finished with 153 yards and two touchdowns, all in the first half, before the starters were pulled.Connor Omlor and Joe Fortunato anchored a strong defensive effort, alongside DBs Danny Boss and Jake Hemple. The Golden Hawks will conclude their season next week with the biggest game of the year, the battle for the Rock Cup against CR North.
Friday
North Penn 42, Pennridge 6
The Ryan Zeltt-Yazeed Haynes connection was alive and well, and on full display, in the Knights’ win over Pennridge. Zeltt threw five touchdown passes — three to Haynes, including one for 88 yards — in an incredible passing clinic by the senior QB. Zeltt started things off with a 62-yard touchdown pass to Rashad McNeill, and Amir Major followed with an 18-yard rushing score.
Luke Cody hauled in an 11-yard touchdown reception from Zeltt. Connor Adams had an interception on defense. For Pennridge, Xavier Dantzler had a 92-yard kickoff return. North Penn improved to 4-5 and will have a chance to even its record at Abington. Pennridge fell to 2-7 and will play CR South.
Pennsbury 35, Abington 0
The Falcons, playing on their home field for the first time this season, did all their damage in the first half, taking a 35-0 lead into intermission. Nate Beighley started things off with a bang for the home crowd, returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown. Beighley later scored a 25-yard TD after recovering a fumble. G Mulbah had a pair of scores, one from 67 yards and another 1-yarder. Shane McGurrin threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to CJ Wisor. John Beighley had an interception on defense, and the Falcons’ defense had three fumble recoveries in the first quarter. Pennsbury improves 8-1 and will close out the regular season with the highly anticipated rivalry game at Neshaminy.

Cheltenham 42, William Tennent 0
Five of big-play Cheltenham's six touchdowns covered at least 30 yards in its 42-0 Suburban One League American Conference victory over visiting William Tennent on Friday night, highlighted by senior Zaheim Welton's TD runs of 30 and 41 yards. Cheltenham improved to 5-4 with the win.

Tennent (1-7) reached the Cheltenham 7-yard line late in the third quarter but was unable to score. Senior linebacker Danny Scheller had a fumble recovery and sack for Tennent, which closes out its season next Friday at home against Springfield-Montco.

Central Bucks East 22, Neshaminy 7
Power play: Liam Powers gives CB East's running game extra pop
Ethan Shine had touchdown run of 7 and 60 yards in the second quarter as CB East jumped ahead in a convincing road win at Neshaminy.
After Marcus Barnett scored for Neshaminy on a 50 yard run in the third quarter, Shine caught a 66 yard TD pass from quarterback Pat Keller to push the lead back to two scores and put the game away.

Central Bucks South 27, Central Bucks West 14

Tommy Donnelly returned a punt for a touchdown and Owen Wheeler caught a touchdown pass on fourth down midway through the fourth quarter to help lead host Central Bucks South to a 27-14 win over Central Bucks West.
Donnelly got the scoring started in the first quarter with a 60-yard touchdown return while Wheeler's TD catch, on fourth and 5 on the Bucks 40, put the Titans up for good. South improved to 6-3 with the win while West slipped to 5-4.

Council Rock North 48, Hatboro-Horsham 20

Gavin Papp ran for two touchdowns and wide receiver Will Scibona caught two passes for scores as host Council Rock North (3-6) rolled to a 48-20 victory over Hatboro- Horsham in a non-league contest.
The Hatters (1-6) were able to score three late touchdowns after being shut out in their two previous games. Mistakes proved costly as it gave the Indians excellent field position to score.

Palisades 20, Catasauqua 17
John Haubert punched in the game-winning touchdown to give the Pirates a thrilling overtime win against Catasauqua. On fourth down, Haubert ran three yards into the end zone, with the win clinching the Colonial League White Division title. Haubert also scored the Pirates’ first touchdown, a 10-yard rushing score, to cut Catasauqua’s lead to 14-7. Kia Stiansen recovered a fumble on defense, and then scored a 16-yard rushing touchdown on the ensuing drive.
Upper Dublin 34, Souderton 3

Souderton took an early 3-0 lead on Upper Dublin on a Ty Quintois 49-yard field goal, but the Cardinals rolled and beat the Indians, 34-3, in a Suburban One Continental Division game.
Upper Dublin, ranked No. 1 in the state in Class 5A by some polls, got 222 yards rushing from Nyfise McIntyre and 212 yards passing from Colin McIntyre. Souderton ends the regular season next week against Bensalem, then moves into the first round of the District One Class 6A playoffs.

Quakertown 35, Harry S Truman 18

Brett Hileman scored three touchdowns on runs of 1, 7, and 5 yards as the Panthers won four of their last five games.
Syamir Newkirk took over at quarterback for Truman on the Tigers’ second possession. The freshman threw for three scores in the second half and finished with 207 yards through the air.
Roman Catholic 31, La Salle 14
Father Judge 27, Archbishop Wood 21
Jimmy Wade and Ryan Wilson both scored for the Vikings, who led 21-14 in the third quarter, before a big comeback by Father Judge in the fourth.
Bonner-Prendergast 28, Conwell-Egan 0
Upper Moreland 14, Springfield 12
Stephen Broderick (120 rushing yards) and Shawn Herbert both scored rushing touchdowns to give the Golden Bears the edge over Springfield. Joseph Hardee and Hassan Johnson had 12 tackles apiece to lead the defense, with Hardee, Chase Ragan and John Baker each having a sack for UM, which hosts Plymouth Whitemarsh for first place in the SOL American on Friday.
Lansdale Catholic 14, West Catholic 0
Sophomore Jacahi Streeter scored both of the Crusaders, one rushing and one receiving, in a PCL win against West Catholic. The defense was superb for the Crusaders, with Yeboa Cobbold intercepting WC in the end zone to preserve the shutout. Josh Brown and Chris Ulmer both had sacks.

Saturday
Germantown Academy 42, Springside-Chestnut Hill 32
George School 68, Columbia Montour Vo-Tech 52
Jagger Matera completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 443 yards & six touchdowns in a game with a final score resembling a basketball game. Brandon Enarusai led the receiving corps with 155 yards and two touchdowns, and also racked up 143 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. Frank Marchese caught two passes, both touchdowns, for 93 yards, and Brandon Bonfig (95 yards) and Joe Lifsted (26 yards) each had TD receptions.
