Friday Roundup: Beaufort rallies for first win. May River rolls past Waccamaw

Beaufort 20, Hilton Head Island 17: Beaufort rallied from a 14-point, second-half deficit to defeat the Seahawks and snap a two-game losing streak.
Beaufort trailed 17-3 early in the third quarter before the comeback. Samari Bonds connected with Jaemin Odom on a TD pass to cut the lead to 17-10. After a William Keyserling field goal, Jadyn Andrews scored on a TD run to give the Eagles a 20-17 lead. Andrews finished with 124 yards rushing and Bonds threw for 123.
Javarion Hamilton had a 79-yard TD run for the Seahawks.
May River 45, Waccamaw 6: Quarterback Tanner Macy rushed for three touchdowns and threw one as Richard Bonneville picked up his first win as Sharks head coach. May River’s defense forced six turnovers. Jordan Williams and Andrew Johnson also had TD runs.
Whale Branch 44, Ridgeland-Hardeeville 18: The Warriors scored more than 40 points for the second straight game in defeating the Jaguars.
Calhoun County 41, Battery Creek 26: The Dolphins led 26-7 at halftime but couldn’t hold on in the second half. Ahmir Smith rushed for three touchdowns and Tykest Davenport had a TD for Calhoun.
Northwood 40, Thomas Heyward 12: Austyn Grady threw for 284 yards, two touchdowns and Jeremiah Singleton added 172 yards rushing and a score for Northwood.
THA quarterback Tony O’Banner rushed for 139 yards and threw for 114 with two total TDs.
St. Andrew’s, Ga. 36, John Paul II 7: Brandyn Horton had the lone Warriors loss to St. Andrew’s.
