Friday roundup: East Canton boys track and field wins four events to win IVC Championships

East Canton boys win IVC track and field title

NEWCOMERSTOWN – East Canton’s boys track and field team is racing into the postseason with another league championship.

The Hornets captured the team title at Friday’s Inter-Valley Conference Championships. East Canton finished with 114 points. Garaway was second with 89.

Brennan Betz won the 110-meter hurdles, Gabe Shilling finished first in the 1,600 and Brylan Holland captured the 3,200. Holland also ran on the winning 3,200 relay with Andrew Wade, Jonathan Randulic and Landen Demos.

Tusky Valley won the girls team title 134.7 points. Claymont was second with 99.

Hannah Wyler won the 800, 1,600, 3,200 and ran on the Trojans’ winning 1,600 relay.
