No. 14 Millbrook 48, Broughton 21 ... The Wildcats (5-2, 5-1) nailed down the conference’s No. 2 playoff berth. Broughton finished 2-5, 2-4. The game was halted with 9:05 left in the fourth quarter, due to lightning.

No. 2 Cardinal Gibbons 68, Enloe 7 (Thursday) ... Connor Clark threw three touchdown passes, as the Crusaders (6-0, 6-0) capped a perfect regular season. Enloe finished 0-7, 0-6.

Sanderson 34, Southeast Raleigh 16 (Thursday) ... Sophomore Zion Myers carried 34 times for 244 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Spartans (3-3, 3-3) past the Bulldogs (1-5, 1-5).

NORTHERN ATHLETIC 4A

No. 1 Rolesville 35, Corinth Holders 14 ... The Rams (6-0, 5-0) pulled away from the Pirates (1-5, 1-3) in the second quarter to put the wraps on their conference championship.

No. 7 Wake Forest at No. 6 Heritage ... A thunderstorm forced postponement of this game to Saturday morning.

Knightdale 25, Wakefield 13 (Thursday) ... Dax Hardy scored two touchdowns for the Knights (4-3, 2-3). Caleb Kerins fired a 50-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Christian for Wakefield (1-6, 0-5).

SOUTH WAKE ATHLETIC 4A

South Garner 50, Apex 47 ... The Titans (1-6, 1-5) scored the decisive touchdown with seven minutes left, giving them a 50-40 lead, then held off a late surge by the Cougars (0-6, 0-6). It was the first football victory in South Garner’s two-year varsity history. The school’s junior varsity finished 6-1 this season.

No. 4 Apex Friendship 31, Garner 21 ... The Patriots (7-0, 6-0) rallied from a 7-0 deficit, as Sam Lersch threw a pair of touchdown passes to Drew Miller. The loss ended Garner’s (3-4, 3-3) faint playoff hopes.

TRIANGLE 4A

Cary 24, Athens Drive 14 (Thursday) ... Talli Price passed for 199 yards and two touchdowns, as the Imps (3-3, 3-3) finished the season with a three-game winning streak. Cary recovered three Athens Drive (3-4, 3-4) fumbles, including one inside the Imps’ 5.

Hillside 53, Green Level 0 ... The Hornets (5-1, 5-1) wrapped up the conference’s second playoff berth. Green Level finished 1-4, 1-4 in its first season of varsity football.

BIG 8 3A

Orange at No. 12 Chapel Hill ... Lightning forced postponement of this game to Saturday morning. Chapel Hill needs a victory to gain a playoff berth.

GREATER NEUSE 3A

No. 8 Clayton 26, West Johnston 7 ... The visiting Comets (6-1, 4-1) kept their playoff hopes alive with a comeback victory. West Johnston finished 5-2, 3-2.

No. 3 Cleveland 44, South Johnston 0 ... The Rams (7-0, 5-0) steamrolled into the playoffs, as Skyler Locklear completed 14-of-20 passes for 232 yards. Freshman Cameron Goins had three touchdown runs. The Trojans finished 2-5, 1-4.

East Wake 33, Smithfield-Selma 20 ... The Warriors (2-4, 2-3) finished with two victories in their final three games. Smithfield-Selma finished 2-5, 0-5.

CAROLINA 1A

No. 10 Princeton 58, Rosewood 27 ... The Bulldogs (7-0, 5-0) rolled to victory in this first-place showdown, scoring three touchdowns each in the first and second quarters. Christian Perris and Jaydon Brooks each scored two touchdowns, and each scored on kickoff returns.

NONCONFERENCE

No. 15 Leesville Road 39, No. 16 Holly Springs 21 ... Ethan Burchfield completed 12-of-19 passes for 197 yards, and the Pride finished with a 5-2 record. Holly Springs finished 4-3.
