Sep. 30—Have some fun, help the needy: a trip to the North Georgia State Fair Friday can be a win-win if visitors come to Jim Miller Park prepared.
Friday is MUST Ministries day at the fair, and anyone who shows up with 10 non-perishable, canned-good items will get free admission (but don't be stingy and bring any expired food — it won't count). Those items will go to MUST Ministries, one of the county's largest nonprofits.
For those who don't feel like lugging a bunch of canned food to the fair, fret not — there's a special for you as well, with $25 good for unlimited rides.
Friday's headliner is country music singer Chase Rice.
The weather will be sunny, with a high of 84 degrees and a low of 64 degrees, according to Accuweather.
The fair will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight Friday.
