GIRLS SOCCER
Blackstone Valley Prep 2, Hope 0: Maria-Isabel Herrera set up goals by Krismarie Valerio and Emely Carreon and Mackenzie Pawson needed to make only one save as BVP won the Division IV matchup. Light Nishimwe stopped 6 shots for Blue Wave.
South Kingstown 1, Chariho 0: Finley Carr scored the only goal of the Division I game late in the first half and that would be all the Rebels would need as goalie Addie Cook pitched a shutout with 10 saves. SK is now 6-6-2. Goalie Reid DosSantos had 5 saves for the Chargers, who slip to 4-5-1.
Lincoln 2, RHCD 1: Following a scoreless first half, Sophia Cavanaugh and Kelsey Smith each scored a goal and the Lions escaped with a 2-1 win over Rocky Hill. Lincoln goalie Megan Delisle was strong in net, making 12 saves while allowing only one goal — an unassisted tally by Anna McLaughlin. The win pushes the Lions one point ahead of the RHCD in Division II-B.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
MSC 3, West Warwick 0 (25-21, 25-19, 25, 28): Amanda Pierce posted 10 kills and 16 digs and Morgan Marcos had 31 assists and 4 digs, helping the Mounties upend the Wizards. Liz Gresian (7 kills, 2 aces, 5 digs) and Kayla Goldstein (6 kills, 4 digs) turned in solid efforts for WW in the loss.
