Friday's high school scores: Shearrion, Mainer-Smith finish in top 15 at Meet of Champions
WESTFIELD — Two Taunton runners finished the MIAA spring track season finishing in the top 15 in the state.
Dmitirius Shearrion and Nia Mainer-Smith both represented the Tigers in the Meet of Champions at Westfield State University, which started Thursday and runs through Saturday.
On the boys side, Shearrion finished 12th in the 200 meter with a time of 0:22.51. For the girls, Mainer-Smith finished 13th in the 200 meter with a time of 0:26.03.

BASEBALL
No. 25 Fairhaven 10, No. 40 Bristol-Plymouth 0
The Craftsmen were shutout by the Blue Devils on the road in the first round of the Division III tournament to finish the season with a record of 15-4.
SOFTBALL
No. 32 Shawsheen 7, No. 33 Bristol-Plymouth 6
The Lady Craftsmen fell to the Rams in a close contest on the road in the first round of the Division III tournament to finish the season with a record of 9-11.
Up by a run heading into the seventh, Shawsheen scored two runs to earn the win over B-P.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Dighton-Rehoboth 17, East Bridgewater 5 (Thursday)
The Falcons beat the Vikings at home in non-league action Thursday to finish their regular season with a record of 9-8.
Karina Bosco led the way for D-R with seven goals, earning her 100th career point, while Cassie Lunghi had three goals, Kylie Palmer had two goals and an assist, Lily Nees and Olivia Thibert had two goals and Olivia Gabriel scored one. Goalie Sophie Darling made eight saves in net.
The Falcons qualified for the Division III tournament as the No. 23 seed and have a first round bye. They'll travel to Reading to face No. 10 Austin Prep Wednesday.
