Here are Friday's high school sports results for the Appleton area

Kimberly 42, Kaukauna 28

KIMBERLY - The Papermakers clinched their 10th consecutive conference championship with the win over the Ghosts. Kimberly has now won or shared 15 titles over the past 17 years.

Senior quarterback Seth Miron completed 15 of 24 passes for 371 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Papermakers offense. His top target was senior receiver Ethan Criter with seven catches for 230 yards.

The game was tied 28-28 entering the fourth quarter before Miron and Criter connected on a pair of long touchdown passes to help Kimberly pull away.

OSHKOSH - The Lightning defense had four takeaways and four sacks in its victory over the Spartans at Titan Stadium.

Brock Salm had a 61-yard touchdown reception from Luke Kritzer and Jeremy Nelson scored on a 1-yard plunge for Appleton North (7-2, 6-2).

Appleton North’s Cal Hansen had five tackles, including two sacks.

DayShawn Henry had a 72-yard touchdown reception for Oshkosh North.

APPLETON - The Terrors led 14-0 early in the third quarter and then held off the Panthers.

Ezra Brown’s 37-yard interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter gave Appleton West a 14-0 lead.

SPASH answered with a 6-yard touchdown run by Braylon Smola on the next drive.

The Panthers were marching toward a potential tying touchdown late in the game, but West’s Ben Vallafskey intercepted a pass in the back of the end zone with 43 seconds remaining.

GREEN BAY - The Bluejays raced to a 20-3 first-quarter lead and never looked back in getting the win over the Trojans.

Menasha (8-1, 6-1 Fox River Classic Conference-South) got three long touchdowns in the first quarter, with Ty Schwartzkopf scoring on a 90-yard kick return and also scoring on a 72-yard pass from AJ Korth.

Korth also had an 81-yard touchdown run for the Bluejays, who also got 121 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Enock Mulungula. Korth had 140 yards rushing on six carries and 178 yards passing.

Freedom 37, Fox Valley Lutheran 0

FREEDOM - Carter Kriewaldt carried 19 times for 193 yards and a score and Matt Wyngaard completed 9 of 13 passes for 195 yards and four touchdowns as the Irish built a big first-half lead and cruised to the North Eastern Conference win.

Freedom outgained FVL 425-100 as it secured a second-place conference finish.

The loss was the Foxes’ fourth in a row after a 5-0 start.

DENMARK - Drew Joten ran for 204 yards on 27 carries, scoring on a 46-yard run, to lead the Mustangs past the Vikings.

Charlie Vanden Burgt also scored on a 2-yard run for the Mustangs, who won the outright North Eastern Conference title with a 7-0 record (9-0 overall).

Nolan Perry scored on a short touchdown run for Denmark.

APPLETON - The Hawks had 280 yards rushing and also got three touchdowns from Reed Hietpas in the shutout win over the Bulldogs at Rocky Bleier Field.

Hietpas scored on first-quarter runs of 4 and 8 yards and also had a 22-yard interception return in the second quarter.

Carter McGlone had a 25-yard touchdown run and Matt Potter added a 5-yard run in the third quarter. Potter led all rushers with 12 carries for 102 yards.

Joe Gallucci added a 25-yard run to cap the scoring for the Hawks (6-3, 5-2 Bay).

Clintonville 46, Tomahawk 0

CLINTONVILLE - Kade Rosenow threw four touchdown passes, Zach Spaulding rushed for 223 yards and the Truckers’ defense held the Hatchets to minus-1 yards rushing.

Jordan Wegener led Clintonville in receiving with five catches for 89 yards.

Clintonville finished with 244 yards rushing and 195 yards passing.

WEYAUWEGA - Kameron Zielke threw three touchdown passes to lead the Warhawks to the win over the Wolves.

Zielke finished with 97 yards passing and a team-leading 60 yards rushing.

Nathan Gorman led Manawa with seven receptions for 142 yards. Dakota Stroud had 107 yards passing and 43 yards rushing.

GIRLS TENNIS

WIAA State Tournament

MADISON - Ana Cristescu and Sophia Fergus of De Pere, and Keagan Potter and Kate Conger of Oshkosh West have advanced to the semifinals in Division 1 doubles at the state tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Olivia Pethan of Fox Valley Lutheran has also advanced to the semifinals in Division 2 singles.

Cristescu and Fergus beat Tyra Gustavson and Molly Ryan of Madison West 6-1, 6-1 in the quarterfinals to advance, while Potter and Conger beat Brianna Cimoch and Hannah Carroll of Franklin 6-2, 4-6, 10-8 in a quarterfinal match.

The doubles semifinals will be played at 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

Pethan beat Aubrey Jayne of University School Milwaukee 6-1, 6-2 in a quarterfinal match.

The semifinals in Division 2 singles are scheduled for 9 a.m.
