Here are Friday's high school sports results for the Wausau and Stevens Point area

BASEBALL

Wausau West 13, Wausau East 3

WAUSAU - The Warriors scored in four of five innings, including a six-run fifth, as they upended the Lumberjacks in Wisconsin Valley Conference action.

Dylan Dobratz led West, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while Jackson Smithpeter and Aidan Vachowiak were both 2-for-3.

Brennan Fictum picked up the win, scattering seven hits over 4⅓ innings. He allowed three runs - two earned - while walking four and striking out five.

Ryan Rodemeier led East, going 2-for-3 with one run scored.

Spencer 12, Owen-Withee 1

OWEN - The Rockets scored three runs in the first, four in the second and five in the sixth to upend the Blackhawks in a Cloverbelt Conference matchup.

Reed Knecht picked up the win, allowing just one hit and one walk, while striking out eight in five innings of work.

Luke Roehrborn led Spencer at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Knecht and Andrew Sieracki both drove in a pair of runs.

Almond-Bancroft 10, Laona/Wabeno 0

ALMOND - Raegen Omernik drove in four runs with a triple and a double to lead the Eagles to the nonconference win.

Riya Ceballos added two hits, including a triple, for Almond-Bancroft.

Ceballos pitched five innings, allowed three hits and struck out four for the win.

Mal Krawze collected two hits for Laona/Wabeno.

Adams-Friendship 4, Abbotsford/Colby 3

ADAMS - The Falcons led 3-1 through 5 1/2 innings when the Green Devils tied it up in the bottom sixth and then walked it off in the seventh.

Lincoln Smith went 3-for-3 for Adams-Friendship with a double and a walk, a stolen base, and two runs scored. Ian Cole added a 2-for-4 line with a run scored and two RBIs.

Brandon Diedrich and Blake Bargender each had two hits in three at-bats and an RBI apiece for Abby/Colby, with Diedrich doubling twice and coming around to score once. Bargender also doubled for the Falcons.

Zander Klaus earned the win for the Green Devils, striking out the side in the top of the seventh.

Evan Reis took the loss for Abby/Colby after 1⅓ innings of relief, giving up two hits and two walks, one earned run, and striking out one batter.

SOFTBALL

Wausau West 6, Lakeland 3

WAUSAU - Caitlin Krantz was 2-for-3 at the plate and Rachel Harder picked up the win in relief as the Warriors topped the Thunderbirds in nonconference action.

Ella Wendling started for West and combined with Harder to shut down Lakeland on four hits.

Saylor Timmerman took the loss, but notched 16 strikeouts for the Thunderbirds.

Auburndale 5, Edgar 4

AUBURNDALE - The Eagles rallied for three runs in the fifth, aided by a solo home run by Mya Krings and a go-ahead hit by Regynn Lau, as they earned the Marawood Conference win.

Samantha Stanton earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing four runs - two earned - on four hits, two walks and four strikeouts.

Krings helped lead the Auburndale offense, going 2-for-4, while Erin Griesbach was 2-for-2 with a solo home run, and Danika Blomberg 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI single.

Edgar was led by Morgan Streveler, who was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Auburndale is now 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the Marawood.

Athens 20-20, Prentice 1-2

PRENTICE - The Fighting Bluejays outscored Prentice 40-3 in sweeping the doubleheader.

In the first game, Athens scored seven runs in the first inning, six in the second and seven in the third.

Jazelle Hartwig had two hits, including a triple, scored twice and drove in five runs. Sophia Coker had a double, a triple, scored twice and drove in two runs. Celina Ellenbecker had three hits, including a triple, scored three times and drove in two. Sydney Coker had two hits, scored twice and drove in two runs. Jenna Handschke had two doubles and drove in two runs.

Danica Diethelm pitched the first two innings and got the win.

In the second game, Athens scored nine times in the first inning and 11 in the second inning as it took advantage of 13 hits, seven walks and six Prentice errors.

Handschke drove in four runs in the second game while Sydney Coker had two hits, drove in three runs and scored twice. Hartwig had two hits, scored three runs and drove in three runs. Elle Gauerke scored twice and drove in two runs. Sophia Coker had two hits and scored twice. Ellenbecker scored three times. Paige Westaby had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice.

Diethelm pitched the first two innings and got the win.

GIRLS SOCCER

Lakeland 3, Mosinee 1

MOSINEE - Kaitlyn Selle scored for Mosinee, but that’s all it could muster in the Great Northern Conference loss to the Thunderbirds.
