Kimberly 48, Stevens Point 13

STEVENS POINT - Jack Statz took the opening kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown and Kimberly never looked back in recording the win over the Panthers.

Blake Barry finished with 173 yards on 16 carries and scored on touchdown runs of 4, 71 and 8 yards for Kimberly. Seth Miron added touchdown passes to Ethan Criter and Jaxson Garbisch of 57 and 12 yards, respectively.

Barry said his offensive line helped pave the way for him.

“A lot of the success I had on the field today was definitely because of my offensive line,” he said. “I had some big holes today. I have a lot of stuff to improve on this week in practice, but I’m ready for next week.”

SPASH’s Noah Marschke had two touchdown passes, including a 5-yard toss to Peyton Pumper, who led the Panthers with 14 catches for 116 yards.

WAUSAU - Ray Reineck ran for 164 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries for the Warriors in the nonconference win.

Vince Hanz completed 4-for-8 passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns. Carter Amerson caught two passes for 80 yards and two TDs.

Menasha 35, Appleton East 14

MENASHA - AJ Korth threw for two touchdowns, ran for one and rushed for 250 yards in the Bluejays’ win over the Patriots.

Korth threw for 84 yards. Chase Parker rushed for 46 yards for the Bluejays.

Chase Nelson had a 10-yard touchdown run in the second quarter that pulled the Patriots to within 14-7, but Menasha responded with 21 consecutive points to take control. Nelson threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Burdett in the fourth to round out the scoring for East.

DE PERE - The Phantoms held the Polar Bears to 144 total yards and took advantage of a couple of special teams miscues en route to the nonconference win.

After holding just a 7-0 advantage at the half, West De Pere came out and controlled more than 10 minutes of the third quarter to pull away for the win.

Najeh Mitchell powered the offense, carrying 29 times for 88 yards and a touchdown.

SEYMOUR - Liam Heiges threw for 184 yards and four touchdowns - three to Benett Reader - in the Foxes’ blanking of the Thunder.

Reader finished with 60 yards on five catches. Running back Jack Egan also had 111 yards rushing on 13 carries with three touchdowns. He scored on runs of 6, 1 and 40 yards.

Cavan Dobberstein also had a 35-yard touchdown catch for FVL.

Eli Retzlaff led the defense with two sacks, with Cale Mayer adding six tackles, including three for loss.

NEW LONDON - Matt Wyngaard threw for four touchdowns and Carter Kriewaldt added two more on the ground to power the Irish past the Bulldogs.

Freedom led 38-7 at the half.

Carson Clausen had a pair of touchdown receptions with Wyngaard also connecting with Owen Wedin and Greg Westemeier on scoring tosses.

Kriewaldt finished with 118 yards rushing on 10 carries and he scored on runs of 54 and 4 yards. Freedom's defense was also solid, holding New London to just 126 total yards.

Campbellsport 33, New Holstein 7

CAMPBELLSPORT - Mitchell McCarty threw three second-quarter touchdown passes and Benjamin Timm ran for two scores in the third quarter in the Cougars’ win over the Huskies.

McCarty’s touchdown passes went to Cole Kaehne, Kody Koltz and Caleb Smith.

New Holstein got its touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 14-yard pass from Sean Floyd to Luke Graf.

BRILLION - Carson Grenzer rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another as the Wolves built a big second-quarter lead and kept the Lions at bay the rest of the way.

Austin Cullen also scored a pair of rushing touchdowns for Hilbert.

Brillion was led by quarterback Joseph Shimek, who threw for 92 yards and a score, and Jaden Bastian, who carried 15 times for 78 yards and one touchdown.

SHEBOYGAN FALLS - The Falcons raced out to a 42-0 second-quarter lead en route to the nonconference win.

Sheboygan Falls piled up 384 total yards, including 243 yards rushing. Caleb Plier rushed 12 times for 97 yards and two touchdowns, while Emmitt Krauter carried three times for 43 yards and two scores, and added one touchdown reception.

Quarterback Dane Nickolai completed 8 of 9 passes for 141 yards and one touchdown, and rushed for two others.

SHEBOYGAN - Marco Troka scored on a 5-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to break a 21-21 tie and lift the Panthers over the Golden Raiders.

Troka led Plymouth offensively with 140 yards rushing on 20 carries. Andru Miller had three pass receptions for 86 yards.

Sheboygan North was led by Max Tutas, who completed 7-of-14 passes for 124 yards.

TWO RIVERS - Justin Klinkner completed 13 of 18 passes for 339 yards and four touchdowns and scored a fifth on the ground as the Purple Raiders built a 35-0 halftime lead and never looked back.

Two Rivers added 116 yards on the ground as Chase Mathias gained 63 yards on 10 carries and scored two TDs, while Parker Glandt added a touchdown pass.

The Purple Raiders’ defense held Random Lake to 80 total yards.

MANITOWOC - Brayden Reimer scored on an 8-yard run with four seconds remaining to lift the Jets, giving them their first win since Aug. 23, 2019.

Reimer ran for 227 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries to lead the Jets to the win.

Landon Chalupny completed 7 of 18 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns for Roncalli.

Manitowoc Lutheran scored on two Brayden Bennett to Kaden Hagenow touchdown passes, one for 30 yards in the second quarter and a 4-yard TD connection in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 20-20.

Kamden Baye added a 6-yard touchdown run for Manitowoc Lutheran. Baye ran for 114 yards on 22 carries.

Colby 43, Neillsville/Granton 8

COLBY - The Hornets scored 28 points in the second quarter to take control in the win over Neillsville/Granton.

Caden Healy ran 23 times for 110 yards and Mateo Lopez ran 14 times for 43 yards for Colby.

Healy had a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and a 2-yard TD run in the third quarter. Lopez caught a 15-yard touchdown pass and had a 2-yard TD run in the second quarter.

Tucker Meyer was 7-for-12 passing for 83 yards for Colby.

Neillsville/Granton scored on a 62-yard pass from Bryce Erickson to Braylon Boyer in the fourth quarter.

Black River Falls 27, Nekoosa 8

NEKOOSA - Evan Voss threw touchdown passes of 6, 38, 1 and 18 yards to lead the Tigers to the win over the Papermakers.

Black River Falls finished with 233 yards of total offense compared to 181 for Nekoosa.

All but 15 of Nekoosa’s yards came on the ground.

Brandon Wintland caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Eli Anderson for Nekoosa’s score.

Saint Croix Central 53, Spencer/Columbus 21

HAMMOND - Saint Croix Central built a 21-point first-quarter lead and rolled in nonconference action.

Isaac Muritz rushed for one score and passed for another to help power the Rockets. Sullivan Melander also rushed for a touchdown, finishing with 80 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Quarterback Caden Wester led the way for the Panthers, rushing 17 times for 188 yards and three touchdowns and throwing for another on 2 of 5 passing for 41 yards.

Kyle Trainor added 94 yards and two touchdowns on just three carries for Saint Croix Central.

APPLETON - Reed Hietpas scored on a 5-yard touchdown run and the extra point conversion was enough for the Hawks to hold off Denmark.

Xavier finished with 159 yards rushing. Quarterback Nate Twombly had 80 yards and Hietpas added 44. The Hawks defense limited Denmark to just 23 yards rushing.

The Vikings’ lone score came on a 49-yard touchdown pass from Lucas Miller to Simon Alexander.

The game was tied 0-0 at halftime.

Clintonville 38, Amherst 30

CLINTONVILLE - Kade Rosenow hit Sam Wegener for a 9-yard score and again for the two-point conversion in overtime to power the Truckers past the Falcons.

Clintonville appeared to have won the game in regulation, when the Truckers scored with under a minute to go. Rosenow found Wegener for a 23-yard score with 53 seconds remaining, and hit Jack Yaeger for the two-point conversion for a 30-22 lead.

But Amherst answered quickly. After a long kickoff return to the Clintonville 30, the Falcons moved into scoring position, capped by Matthew Glodowski’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Aidan Jastromski with 14 seconds remaining. Glodowski then ran in the conversion to send the game into overtime.
