Friday's local roundup: Leominster Legion upends Shrewsbury

Leominster 8, Shrewsbury 4: Tony Salvatelli hit a three-run homer, and Sean Dutton (double) and Evan McCarthy each added two hits and two RBIs to lead host Leominster (12-6).

James Mitchell and Andrew Gardner each had two hits for Shrewsbury (14-3).

North County 12, Main South 1: Nico Martinez (3 for 3, 2 runs), Colby Gouldrup (double, triple, 2 runs) and Logan Cormier (single, double) each drove in two runs to pace host North County (5-9) past Main South (6-12).

Sean Belton doubled and homered for Main South.

Northbridge 10, Sturbridge 2: Nick Laflamme went 3 for 4 with a triple, two RBIs and three runs, and Zach Feeney smacked three hits, including a double and four RBIs to lift Northbridge (8-9).

Dan Seaver had two hits and a run for visiting Sturbridge (0-17).

Milford 8, Northborough 0: Four pitchers combined on a no-hitter, with Dante Pavone striking out four in four innings as host Milford (13-4) topped Northborough (5-11). Sean McGee, Louie Denison and Mason Bolduc each pitched one hitless inning in relief.

Pavone also tripled in three runs, and Scott Pagliuca drove in two.

Futures Collegiate League

Pittsfield 10, Bravehearts 7: Cam Seymour went 2 for 5 with a homer, two RBIs and two runs for the Bravehearts (16-21) in a loss at Wahconah Park in Pittsfield.

Teammate Gavin Noriega had three hits and two runs.
