Friday's Top Prep Performers from basketball, soccer and wrestling

Highlights from Friday in high school sports:

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Zane Carter finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds, Daniel Ortiz scored 10 points, and Colin Guenther had eight points and six assists to lead Buena (13-2) to a 55-51 victory over Westlake on the fourth day of the Ventura Kiwanis Tournament. Kayden Elsokary had 26 points, six rebounds and four assists, Austin Maziasz had 11 points, two blocks and two steals, and Cyrus Torabian had seven points and five rebounds for the Warriors (12-6).

  • Finn Fancher finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Jake Auster scored 13 points and Caleb Sebek had 11 points to lead Ventura to a 72-52 win over Santa Clara in the first of two games for the Cougars on the fourth day of the Ventura Kiwanis Tournament. Andy Olmos scored a game-high 26 points and Tony Barrera had 14 points for the Saints.

  • Beckham Rutherford hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer in overtime and finished with 15 points and Willem Rutherford scored 17 points to lead Nordhoff to a 52-50 win over Ventura on the fourth day of the Ventura Kiwanis Tournament. Travis Valenzuela scored 22 points, Caleb Sebek had 12 points and Josh Woodworth had 10 points for the Cougars (6-10).

  • David Williams finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and three steals, Ethan Macias had 12 points and four assists, Nathan Duarte scored 11 points, and Rodney Adams Jr. added 10 points to lead Rio Mesa to a 65-64 win over Agoura on the fourth day of the Ventura Kiwanis Tournament. Nasir Meyer scored q game-high 30 points, Zane Miller had 19 points and Zach Ourfalian added nine points for the Chargers (9-5).

  • Dominik Contreras scored 20 points and Marcos Ramirez had 12 points to lead Oxnard to a 62-40 win over Mamaroneck (N.Y.) in the third-place game of the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic. Reese Widerburg was named to the all-tournament team for the Yellowjackets (15-2).

  • Marcos Jaquez scored 23 points, Tyler Hook had 20 points and Chase Aronowitz added 11 points for Camarillo (11-7) in its 61-58 loss to Hart in the championship game of the Hart Tournament.

  • Isaiah Sherrard had 25 points and six rebounds, Trey McDonald had six points and three assists, Dylan Hayse finished with five points, four rebounds and three assists, Steven Melina added five points, and Niko Limbert had three points, four rebounds and three assists to lead Oak Park (10-7) to a 44-40 victory over Sage Hill in The Classic at Damien.

  • Mathew Wilson had 16 points and four rebounds and Dylan Benner finished with 15 points and seven rebounds for St. Bonaventure (9-7) in its 45-43 loss to Whitney on a buzzer-beater in The Classic at Damien.

  • Gavin Murphy scored 17 points, Niko Lobos hit three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points, and Peter Gray had 10 points to lead Calabasas (12-4) to a 56-53 win over Grant on the fourth day of the Ernest Baskerville Christmas Tournament at South Pasadena High.

  • Theo Briscoe hit five 3-pointers and finished with 20 points and three steals, Alex Tamayo had 13 points and six rebounds, and Christian Garcia had six points and three assists for Pacifica (6-11) in its 59-51 loss to El Camino Real on the fourth day of the Ernest Baskerville Christmas Tournament at South Pasadena High.

  • Trent MacLean had 14 points and 14 rebounds for Thousand Oaks in its 63-61 loss to Enumclaw (Wash.) on the fourth day of the Ernest Baskerville Christmas Tournament at South Pasadena High.

  • Stevie Prudholme scored 12 points, Isayah Garcia had 11 points, Axel Eason contributed 10 points, and Julez Smith and Stevie Amar each added eight points to lead Oaks Christian (14-2) to a 73-46 win over Foothill Tech in a nonleague game. Sam Noah scored 16 points, Ashton Brown had 13 points and Nick Drucker added seven points to lead the Dragons.

  • Ryder Mjoen had 19 points and seven rebounds and Justin Rener scored 15 points for Simi Valley in its 57-50 loss to Davis (Utah) at the Rancho Mirage Desert Classic.

  • Parker Hill and Preston Lowry each scored 13 points and Drew Romano had 11 points for Royal (7-12) in its 59-53 loss to Canyon Springs (Nevada) at the Rancho Mirage Desert Holiday Classic.

  • Lucas Fenske scored 16 points for Moorpark in its 80-61 loss to Santa Barbara at the Santa Barbara Holiday Classic.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • All-tournament selection Karisma Lewis scored 25 points, Skye Thomas had 17 points and Riannah Lopez finished with 10 points to lead Buena to a 60-50 win over Chatsworth on the final day of the Santa Clara Winter Classic.

  • Sofia Salgado finished with 19 points and five rebounds, all-tournament selection Mika Jarrett scored 16 points, and Kristan Yumul contributed eight points, 10 assists and six rebounds to lead Oxnard (12-4) to a 50-27 win over Oakwood on the final day of the Santa Clara Winter Classic.

  • All-tournament selection Mimi Moon finished with 27 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals, Haven Ramirez had 12 points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block, Jaydah Goins had 12 points, two steals and two rebounds, and Mikayla Oliver had nine points, six rebounds and two blocks to lead Pacifica to a 66-38 win over Saugus on the final day of the Santa Clara Winter Classic.

  • Mila-Nai ColonYau scored 11 points, Morgan Casillas had 10 points and Claire Kirby added seven points to lead Thousand Oaks (12-6) to a 37-32 win over St. Bonaventure on the final day of the Santa Clara Winter Classic.

  • Abrial Ramirez finished with 27 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals, Yazmin Wiggins had nine points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals, and Sara Briones contributed six points and three rebounds to lead host Santa Clara to a 50-32 win over Royal on the final day of the Santa Clara Winter Classic.

  • Rio Mesa defeated Franklin 52-29 on the final day of the Santa Clara Winter Classic.

  • Skyler Knight finished with 16 points and nine rebounds, Sarah Beckman had 10 points and nine rebounds, Kailee Staniland had nine points and three assists, Emily Rea had eight points and three assists, and Jessie Sebek had eight points and five rebounds as Ventura beat San Fernando 53-37 to win the Gold Division championship of the West Coast Holiday Tournament at Burroughs High.

  • Keilani Peralta finished with 19 points, Emily Lim had 15 points, Christa Contreras had 10 points, Victoria Luna had six points, Makenna Phelan contributed five points, and Annie O'Connell added four points to lead Camarillo (9-8) to a 64-33 win over West Ranch in the West Coast Holiday Tournament at Burroughs High.

  • Lauren Davis had 15 points and five rebounds, Skylar Komatsu finished with 10 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists, Olivia Antu had eight points, five assists, three rebounds and three steals, Dana Cruz had five points and eight rebounds, and Kierabella Coletta-Todd had two points, 13 rebounds, eight steals, two assists and two blocks to lead Newbury Park to a 41-31 win over Santa Paula at the West Coast Holiday Festival.

  • Emma Ange had 18 points and seven rebounds, Mathis Dritz scored 11 points, Jillian McGillivray had eight points, and Devin Feiereisen finished with six points and 10 rebounds to lead Westlake (11-4) to a 54-44 win over Olympian in the championship game of the Bonita Vista Gold Crown Tournament.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Oxnard played Royal to a 2-2 draw in regulation and won the penalty kick shootout 4-2 in the championship match of the Buena High New Year's Tournament. Miguel Cabrera and Pabel Ayala scored goals and Ruben Martinez had an assist as the Yellowjackets (12-1-5) rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit. In a semifinal game earlier in the day, Oxnard played to a 1-1 draw with Camarillo in regulation before winning in the penalty kick shootout 4-2. Ayala scored the regulation goal off an assist by Chris Escarcega and Adrian Luna made two saves in the shootout.

GIRLS WRESTLING

  • Bela Smith of Ventura finished second place out of 45 wrestlers in the 150-pound division at the ninth annual Queen of the Hill tournament in Corona. Smith is 20-1 on the season.
