Highlights from Friday in high school sports:
Reese Widerburg scored 21 points, Dylan O’Neill had 10 points, and Bobby Barajas finished with four points, seven assists and six steals to lead Oxnard (12-3, 2-0) to a 66-35 victory over Ventura in a Pacific View League game. Tyler Woodworth scored 12 points and AJ Monarres had eight points for the Cougars (3-15, 0-2).
Darin Cole poured in 23 points, Colin Guenther and Blue Sierra each had 14 points, Zane Carter had 11 points, and Joel Ipatzi added nine points to lead Buena (7-12, 1-2) to an 81-44 win over Channel Islands in a Pacific View League game. Matthew Gonzalez scored 16 points and Jevon Bobbsemple had eight points for the Raiders (4-11, 0-2).
Marcus Lesser finished with 27 points, five rebounds and four assists, Trent MacLean had nine points, seven rebounds and two blocks, Austin Maziasz had eight points and six rebounds, and Aidan Delavari had eight points and three assists to lead Westlake (12-3, 1-1) to a 61-57 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game. Cooper Lucas scored 25 points, Charlie Muir and Jace Birdsong each had eight points, and Nick Pasquini added seven points for the Panthers (12-6, 0-1).
Gavin Murphy scored 15 points, Peter Gray and Drew Martin each had 12 points, and Niko Lobos had eight points to lead Calabasas (12-3, 2-0) to a 65-32 victory over Oaks Christian in a Marmonte League game. Stevie Prudholme scored a game-high 22 points for the Lions.
Brooklyn Shamblin scored 23 points, Lola Donez had 15 points, Omamoke Okah finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Madison Brothers had 10 points to lead Oaks Christian (11-2, 1-0) to a 66-45 win over Calabasas in a Marmonte League opener. Maddy Tauro had 12 points and three steals, Amia Witt finished with 11 points, five rebounds and three blocks, and Erin Topacio scored 11 points for the Coyotes (13-3, 0-1).
Jordan Hayden finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Helena Koubrek had 14 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Krista Colmenares had 12 points, six rebounds and five steals to lead Agoura (7-6, 1-0) to a 56-28 victory over Thousand Oaks (5-9, 0-1) in a Marmonte League opener.
Faith Stockton finished with seven points, four assists, four rebounds and three steals, Lola Mendez had six points, seven rebounds and two blocks, Arianna Duarte had six points, five assists, four rebounds and two blocks, and Anessa Reyes had six points, three steals and two assists to lead Santa Paula (7-10, 1-0) to a 43-16 win over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League opener. Miahanna Galvan had three points, three steals and two rebounds and Danielle Salazar add four points and three rebounds for the Cardinals.
Foothill Tech defeated Bishop Diego 68-52 in a Frontier League game. Clara McDonald scored 20 points and Annie McDonald added 14 points for the Cardinals.
Tatum Wynalda netted a hat trick, Layla Simon scored a goal and Lily Berlinger had an assist to lead unbeaten Westlake (7-0, 2-0) to a 4-1 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League match. Annabel York scored the goal for the Panthers.
Sarah Spears had a goal and an assist, Emerson Beard, Avery Oder and Berkley Mape scored goals, and Scarlette Druian had two assists to lead unbeaten Oaks Christian (9-0-2, 2-0) to a 4-0 victory over Calabasas in a Marmonte League match.
Brooke Ly, Macie Baird and Malea Johnson scored goals, Emma Rale had two assists, and Lauren Bessey had a strong defensive game to lead Oak Park to a 3-0 victory over Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League match.
Marlene Gonzalez finished with a goal and two assists, Jennifer Abrego scored a goal, Athena Sanchez and Estrella Alonzo had assists, and Gabriela Martinez earned the shutout in net to lead Fillmore (1-3-3, 1-0) to a 3-0 victory over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League match.
Cindy Ramos and Yaraby Herrera scored goals to lead Santa Paula (6-3-2, 1-0) to a 2-0 win over Hueneme in a Citrus Coast League match. Freshmen Caroll Olivares made four saves in net and Kaylyn López, Natalie Ruiz, Kimberly Cruz, Yolanda Reyes and Danahi Olea played well for the Vikings (2-6, 1-1).
Justin Conyers scored the game's only goal to lift unbeaten Moorpark (11-0, 2-0) to a 1-0 victory over Camarillo in a Coastal Canyon League match.
Adam Olson scored two goals and Dylan Roslauski and Jesus Gonzales combined for the shutout in net to lead Newbury Park (7-3-1, 1-0-1) to a 2-0 win over Westlake in a Marmonte League match.
Calabasas defeated Oaks Christian 2-1 in a Marmonte League match.
GIRLS WATER POLO
London Fletcher and Ella Montano each scored two goals, Martie Pecht and Delaney Poulos had goals, and goalie Kiana Kellner made 12 saves to lead Ventura (10-4, 3-0) to a 6-4 win over Rio Mesa in a Pacific View League game.
Camarillo defeated Moorpark 7-2 in a Coastal Canyon League game.
