Friendly for Facebook review

Friendly for Facebook is a Facebook management app. It allows you to manage multiple Facebook accounts, customize how you view the social media site, and brings back a few old features of Facebook that might be lacking from the current app.

Pros

Integrated messenger: If you are among the many people who hated it when Facebook separated its Messenger service from the primary Facebook app, then you'll like Friendly, as it restores the messenger to Facebook itself. You can view your feeds and send and receive messages from this app.

Color and account customization: This app lets you customize how you view Facebook and makes it easy to switch between accounts. It also allows you to customize your color scheme, and set how you want your newsfeed to be displayed. This is a useful feature if you're managing different accounts. You can color code your different profiles to make sure you're always posting and commenting from the right place.

Basic setup: Setting this app up is very easy. You just log in to your Facebook account and allow Friendly access to it. Adding multiple accounts is just as easy.

Cons

Overly intrusive ads: The ads in Friendly are more intrusive than most. The problem lies not so much in the regular ad bar playing ads at the top of the app but in the tab that hangs down below it. In a free app, ads alone are not all that unexpected or frustrating. But the tab that Friendly displays with the option to remove ads is actually almost more intrusive than the ads themselves, eating up a fair bit of screen real estate.

Bottom Line

If you're a major user who isn't totally satisfied with the functionality brought to you by the official Facebook app, then Friendly for Facebook might be a way to improve your mobile Facebook experience. However, if you plan on using it a great deal, it might be worth the few dollars to remove the ads.
