Friends of Hospice uses grant money to buy box truck for Friendtique donation pick-ups

WOOSTER − Friends of Hospice, doing business as Friendtique and Nest, received a grant from the Wayne County Community Foundation for the purchase of a box truck.

The purchase of the truck will provide an ongoing way for the furniture pick-up team of volunteers to continue to receive donations. Friendtique and Nest volunteers pick up donated furniture from across Wayne County and the surrounding area each week.

The pick-up is a free service to donors and the grant will provide an economical way to continue to provide the service, according a release from Friendtique. The donated items are placed in the two stores for resale with all profits going to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
