Front Street Animal Shelter offers free pet food bank to help people impacted by inflation

The Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento is offering a weekly pet food bank free of charge as a way to help families strapped for cash because of inflation. Shannon O’Neill doesn’t have a dog of her own, but she loves animals, which is why she volunteers for the shelter at its drive-thru pet food bank. "The first reason I'm here is so I can have dog energy in my life,” O’Neill said. The shelter's pet food bank offers all of the essentials for free, including dog and cat food, leashes, collars and carriers.
