Frontier Airlines offers all-you-can-fly deal for summer

Discount carrier Frontier Airlines is offering its all-you-can-fly pass for summer for $399, but there are catches.

The airline, which in Florida flies out of Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Sarasota, Jacksonville, Pensacola and Fort Myers, is discounting its GoWild! Summer Pass from its normal $999 price. Its annual pass is also discounted from the normal $1,999 to $1,299.

The summer pass dates run May 2-Sept. 30, 2023. Be warned, though, as there are blackout dates, and unless canceled, the pass will renew at the full price once its specific renewal time is up.

With the pass, travelers have to wait until the day before travel to book a flight for domestic routes, and within 10 days for international travel, with no guarantees a seat will be available, but if it is, the cost is only $0.01. You cannot book a return flight, though, right away, unless it falls within that same timeline limitation, one day before for domestic, so that would be a day trip, and 10 days before for international.

Some international flight destinations include Cancun, Mexico; Nassau, Bahamas; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Kingston, Jamaica; San Jose, Costa Rica plus several airports in Puerto Rico as well as St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

The 2023 summer blackout dates are May 25, 26, 29; June 29, 30; July 1-5, 8, 9; August 31; September 1, 4.

The cost does not include taxes, fees and other charges applied at booking such as add-on products like bags and seat selection.

The travel is not part of the carrier’s miles program, but will extend the user’s miles expiration date.
