Frozen 3, Toy Story 5 and Star Wars movie confirmed for 2026 releases

Disney has announced when film fans can expect Frozen 3 and Toy Story 5 to hit their screens.
The company's Q1 2024 earnings call with CEO Bob Iger saw the shock announcement of Moana 2 alongside a teaser trailer for the film set to release on November 27, as well as details of Taylor Swift's The Era's Tour concert film coming to Disney+.
But that's not all, with the CEO giving some of Disney's most anticipated movies release windows, such as the sequels in the Frozen and Toy Story franchises.
It's set to be a hefty wait, with both films arriving in 2026 alongside Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian and Grogu, the first of a new slate of Star Wars movies planned by the studio.

"We're already looking forward to 2026 and beyond with Frozen 3, the first Toy Story movie since 2019, and a new Star Wars movie that brings the Mandalorian and Grogu to the big screen for the very first time," Iger announced.
Another animated sequel, Zootopia 2, will arrive on November 26, 2025.
Few details are known about Frozen 3, but Frozen and Frozen II director Jennifer Lee has confirmed she will not return to direct.

"I can't say where we are [with Frozen 3]," Lee told The Wrap. "All our stories are driven by the artists in the studio. Where we're going with Frozen did not come from me. It came from an incredible person. That's a new piece, I've told no one. And I've been blown away by it and I'm just having a blast with that team."
As for Toy Story 5, Pixar boss Pete Docter confirmed last year that the story will bring back the iconic Woody and Buzz Lightyear for another adventure.
Frozen 3, Toy Story 5 and The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released in 2026.
