Frozen the Musical performer Samantha Barks has become a mum for the first time.

The Elsa singer originally announced her pregnancy in August this year, and in an update via Instagram this week, she shared a black-and-white snap of the little one's hand and wrote, "Welcome Rafael Richard Barks-Stoll, born on 16th October. My heart could burst with happiness."

Congratulating her and husband Alex Stoll in the comments were the likes of radio presenter Zoe Ball, comedian Alan Carr and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant and It Takes Two host Fleur East.

"All I'll say is that last week, they carved out time for me to work with the creative team on it. And I'm blown away," she told attendees (via Deadline).

"I'm so excited. I don't know what I'm doing on it yet. I might be doing nothing."

Barks's big screen counterpart, Idina Menzel, confirmed her return for Frozen 3 during a chat with Billboard earlier this year, too.

"I don't know a lot. To be completely honest, they teased it to us, and I have no idea," she said. "They don't show you a script. They don't show you anything. All I know is, yeah we are gonna make one, and that's it. So, I'm like, 'Cool! I will be able to pay my bills.'"
