Fruit Yard adds trio of classic rock favorites to its season lineup in Modesto

A trio of classic rock bands has been added to the Fruit Yard Amphitheater’s current summer season.

The group 38 Special will play Sept. 23 at the Modesto venue along with the Marshall Tucker Band and Molly Hatchet.

Headlining band 38 Special has hits including “Caught Up in You” and “Hold On Loosely.” Marshall Tucker Band is known for “Can’t You See,” “Heard it in a Love Song” and more. Molly Hatchet is best known for “Flirtin’ With Disaster” and others.

Tickets for the show are $53-$108.

Adjacent to orchards and a restaurant west of Waterford, the Fruit Yard Amphitheater — officially called The Fruit Yard Basi Insurance Nationwide Amphitheater — has lawn seating and reserved seating to accommodate about 3,500 people.

Other shows remaining this year include Air Supply with Little River Band on Aug. 19 and Billy Currington with Shaylen on Sept. 30. A concert by Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band on Sept. 16 is sold out.
