FSU vs. Georgia Tech game delayed due to lightning

It was an inauspicious start to the football season for Florida State as lightning delayed the Seminoles’ game against Georgia Tech.

The game was scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. and was pushed back until at least 4 p.m.

The Seminoles were on the field beginning their warm ups when the players were called off the field because of concerns about lightning in the area.

Brief showers pelted Doak Campbell Stadium a limited number of fans admitted to the game scattered for cover.
