Full slate on Tuesday's board agenda

May 9—NORWALK — Norwalk City Schools board of education members have a full slate on Tuesday's agenda.

Here is what the board will consider at its meeting:

PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

1. NMS roof over gymnasium = $498,575

2. NHS roof (upper) = $104,426

3. Remodel NMS band room w/ sound panels = $4,500

4. Main Street School playground = $2,500

Other items:

1. Painting at each school

2. Strengthen restroom stalls in NHS main restrooms

3. Patching bus curb at Pleasant

TREASURER'S REPORTS

Waive all required K-12 school fees and activity participation fees for the 2023-24 school year. ESSER funds to reimburse the school fees and the Norwalk Athletic Booster donation to offset the participation fees.

Donation from the Norwalk Athletic Boosters of $40,000 to offset student activity fees in the 2023-24 school year.

Roofing bid approval

Norwalk Middle School gym roof replacement, $498,575 Worner Roofing Company to be paid from the 003 PI fund

Norwalk High School upper roof retrofit, $104,426 Worner Roofing Company to be paid from the 004 HS building fund

Appropriate $150,000 of the 004 Building Fund for the NHS roofing and restroom repairs
