CANTON—The Illinois Lottery has launched its inaugural Carolyn Adams Ticket for the Cure Instant Ticket. This ticket provides 100 percent of its proceeds to fight breast cancer in Illinois by providing education, awareness, research, and support programs in Illinois. The Fulton County Health Department, located at 700 E. Oak Street in Canton, is a recipient of this grant.

Unfortunately, breast cancer is one of the number one forms of cancer in Illinois. Diagnosis of this disease in Illinois has increased over time. Fortunately, the death rates have declined. Mammograms can help detect breast cancer early, allowing for more effective treatment. Over 20 percent of women in Illinois are NOT up to date with screening recommendations. Join them as they raise awareness for this ticket and the funds it can generate to help support those affected by breast cancer in our state. They hope you will consider purchasing this ticket and encouraging others to do the same.

The Carolyn Adams Ticket for the Cure instant ticket costs $3, and players can win up to $50,000. The ticket is on sale now at more than 7,200 Illinois Lottery retailers across Illinois, and 100 percent of proceeds fund education, support, awareness, and research programs aimed at tackling breast cancer.
