Fundraiser for New Jersey man killed in Derby Street crash raises thousands

NEW JERSEY − A week after he was killed when an SUV crashed into the Apple store at Hingham's Derby Street Shops, a GoFundMe campaign has raised over $13,000 to help the family of Kevin Bradley with funeral costs and other expenses.

Bradley, 65, was working outside the Derby Street Shops when the SUV careened from the parking lot and through the glass-fronted Apple store Nov. 21, authorities said. His body was found 10 to 15 feet inside the store.

According to the GoFundMe page, Bradley was in a 12-year relationship with fiancée Kathy McGrogan.

"She was the center of his world," fundraiser organizer Kori Robino wrote.

The couple lived with McGrogan's daughter, Kelly, and her two children.

Robino wrote that the response to the fundraiser "brought us to tears." She said it would cost $7,000 just to return Bradley's body to New Jersey and urged people to keep sharing the link.

"If you cannot help financially, please share within your networks so we can help the McGrogan family bear this burden and make it a little easier for them to navigate each day," Robino wrote. She declined to comment further.

In his obituary, Bradley was remembered for his love of fishing, cooking and watching the New York Yankees. He was a project manager for GMS Contracting.
