The funeral of 1-year-old shooting victim Davell Gardner, Jr., was held in New York on Monday. Rev. Al Sharpton said the senseless killing of Gardner should remind everyone of the flood of guns on the streets of American cities. (July 27)
- There will be a song [INAUDIBLE].
It was such a great experience the first time I found out I was having a son. [INAUDIBLE]
They took my son, man. I don't [INAUDIBLE].
AL SHARPTON: Let's let this young man not have died in vain. I can't bring him back, but we can sure end the story differently than what it was. He was shot by a stray bullet, but it may straighten about [INAUDIBLE]. He was killed by us a stray bullet, but we made changes of [INAUDIBLE] gun legislation.
In Davell's name, let us stand. In Davell's name, let us hold up. In Davell's name, let us change the neighborhood. In Davell's name, let us give end to the killing. In his name, let us change our community.
This is our challenge. This is our day. Davell, look out for me on the Judgment.
