Funerals Set For 3 Killed In Head-On South Philadelphia Crash

Joseph Ferry, 36, of Philadelphia, Kelly Wiseley, 35, of Glenolden, and Dennis Palandro, 31, of Morton​ will all be laid to rest this week.​

Funerals are planned for the three people who were killed in a head on South Philadelphia crash hours after the Mummers Parade on New Year's Day.

Joseph Ferry, 36, of Philadelphia, Kelly Wiseley, 35, of Glenolden, and Dennis Palandro, 31, of Morton will all be laid to rest this week.

The three died following the crash that occurred around 1:45 a.m. at 7th Street and Packer Avenue that seriously hurt Dennis Palandro's wife Nicole Palandro, 30. The crash led to numerous charges filed against the driver of the striking vehicle, 29-year-old Delaware resident Keith Campbell.

Campbell faces three counts of homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and possession of an instrument of crime and is being held in Philadelphia on $1.75 million bail.

Dennis Palandro and Ferry were members of the South Philadelphia String Band.

Wiseley and Ferry just got engaged to be married on Christmas Day.

GoFundMe campaigns have been launched to assist the victims' families and Nicole Palandro.
As of Tuesday morning, the campaign for Nicole Palandro has generated more than $120,000.

The campaign for Wiseley's family is at about $30,200 and the campaign for Ferry stands at about $28,300 as of Tuesday morning.

Kelly Anne Wiseley, age 35, of Glenolden, was taken tragically January 2, 2019.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was a graduate of West Catholic High School and she received her Bachelor’s degree from Neumann University.

Kelly worked as a bartender at Harrah’s Casino in Chester for the last 12 years, where she was loved by her many co-workers and customers. She loved spending time with her family and dear friends.

Kelly was the fiancé of the late Joseph Ferry. She is also predeceased by her grandparents James and Agnes Wiseley, William and Louise McNamee, and her uncles, William McNamee, Jr. and James C. Wiseley, Jr.

Kelly was the beloved daughter of Sue (nee McNamee) and retired Folcroft Boro. Police Sgt. Bill Wiseley; loving sister to Michael (Kelly) Wiseley, Marc Wiseley, and Billy (Faylynn) Wiseley, Jr.; and devoted aunt to Macie, Billy and D.J. Wiseley. She is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends and her dogs, Lily and Rudy.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Tuesday evening, January 8, 2019 6-9pm at the Marvil Funeral Home, 1110 Main St., Darby and Wednesday morning, January 9, 2019 from 9:30-11am at Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield. Her Funeral Mass will be held Wed. 11am at Holy Cross Church. Burial will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Dennis R. Jr. “Denny” passed away tragically on January 2, 2019.
