Braxton Claude Randolph, 9, the son of Brian Randolph Sr. and Britney Randolph, is in fourth grade at E. Melvin Honeycutt Elementary School.

He was nominated as a Fayetteville Observer Future Black History Maker because "Several years ago, when students were at home virtually due to COVID, Braxton spoke to his parents about making jobs for his friends and himself," writes his nominator, teacher Stephanie Walsh, who met Braxton through Promoting Entrepreneurs in our Community. "He expressed that he wanted them to make their own money to help their families. He came up with "Braxton Bags of Candy." Braxton developed, with the help of his parents, a social media site to advertise the sale of specially packaged candy. He uses his profit to buy his own school supplies and saves money to buy Christmas presents for his brothers. I have promoted this young entrepreneur in his efforts each holiday. He is prompt with his response for your order, packages and makes sure it is delivered on the scheduled due date. The prices are reasonable. He is known in his neighborhood as the 'Candy Man.' Braxton is an A/B Honor Roll student and plays soccer."
