What if we peer ahead to the next time we do this list, say 2047, 25 years into the future?

What would be on such a list? Which local young athletes will blossom into national superstars? What local sports moments will go viral?

Well, you don't have to wait. We peered into a crystal ball stolen from the Palm Beach Dramaworks prop shop, and we have seen the future.

Here are some of the stories-still-to-come that could be on a future Palm Beach County top 50 sports list:

Tom Brady leads Dolphins to back-to-back-to-back Super Bowls

At first, it seemed a joke. Tom Brady coming out of retirement for the second time to play for the Miami Dolphins? And, in his 50s?

No such joke. Brady left his retirement home on Jupiter Island to return to the NFL and help lead the Dolphins to three straight Super Bowl victories, topping even those glory teams of Don Shula, before retiring again.

Proving he's no one-trick wonder, Brady also captured the Senior PGA championship, which was held at PGA National just because Tom wanted it held there, while dipping his toe into professional golf.

Of course, when he's not tossing footballs or teeing off, he's been working for Fox on NFL broadcasts, serving as the U.S. envoy to Brazil and teaming with a group of scientists to find a cure for COVID.

Brady, who also now owns the Dolphins franchise as well as a chain of Viagra stores in the county, is currently contemplating another comeback as he turns 70 later this year.

Coco Gauff wins Grand Slam

The longtime resident of Delray Beach continues to collect championship trophies, including owning Wimbledon, U.S. Open, French and Australian titles in the same year. She continues to be socially active, using her tennis platform to promote her message.

She also reportedly turned down a lucrative contract to give up tennis for pickleball.

To quote Gauff: "I don't really think it's a sport."

Palm Beach Kennel Club turns into Casino Royale

After the Florida Legislature finally took a break from passing laws restricting voting rights and Disney's ability to make billions, it finally passed a bill approving casino gambling. The Palm Beach Kennel Club quickly set a state record for betting revenue.

Thousands now flock to the former dog track every day to bet on the NFL and college football and take their chances at the craps table. It marked the beginning of the end of Las Vegas as the nation's gambling mecca as millions flock to Florida where they now can swim with the sharks, see Mickey thumb his nose at the Governor's Mansion and spend their money betting on team sports.

Tiger Woods breaks Jack Nicklaus' record

It took him until he was well into his 60s, but Tiger Woods finally won his 19th major, topping the mark set by Jack Nicklaus decades earlier.

Tiger, who has undergone more surgeries and reconstructive procedures than Evel Knievel (look him up kids), also has seen his son, Charlie, dominate on the PGA Tour.

Said Tiger: "I appreciate what Charlie has been doing, but does he have to wear that red shirt on championship Sundays?"

New stadium built on Donald Trump's former estate

Make America Great Field, built on the site of the former Mar-a-Lago, has hosted huge concerts, huge shuffleboard competitions, the national pickleball championship (that was huge, too) and, of course, huge political rallies.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump continues to seek an NFL franchise for his stadium. NFL Commissioner Colin Kaepernick continues to deny Trump, saying, "Over my dead NFL career."

Lamar Jackson double Hall of Famer

The former Boynton Beach standout and Heisman Trophy winner was enshrined in the College AND Pro Football Halls of Fame.

The quarterback, who led the Baltimore Ravens to a pair of Super Bowl championships, retired and joined Peyton Manning in the booth for "Sunday Night Football," putting his communications degree to good use and wondering how Peyton keeps his job when all he keeps saying is "Omaha."

Alexa Pano tears up LPGA, PGA

The former Lake Worth Beach resident, now living on Jupiter Island, continues to capture numerous major LPGA tournaments. She also turned her attention to the PGA Tour and quickly excelled.

When she won the Masters, the ghosts of Bobby Jones and Cliff Roberts reportedly cried.

FAU wins national championship

First, Archibald Charles Manning stunned everyone by signing with the Owls — over Alabama, Florida and the other usual suspects.

Then, the latest Manning superstar and quarterback simply known as ACM led Florida Atlantic to the national title. The Owls stunned the Crimson Tide — and 99-year-old coach Nick Saban — in the Seagrams/PornHub/Cohiba Bowl.

Said ACM as he walked off the field: "I'm going to Omaha."

National pickleball champions call county home

More pickleball champions live in Palm Beach County than anywhere in the world. They are playing it in Palm Beach, Jupiter, in the Glades. They are playing it on the tennis courts, on special pickleball courts, in the streets, in the fields, in the muck. They are playing it day and night, 24/7.
